Junior Membership at Swinford Golf Club (2026)
Junior Membership provides young golfers with access to the main course and member-only competitions throughout the year.
Membership Fees
Juniors with handicap €70
Junior €50
Course Access
Junior Members can play the main course Monday–Friday all year round.
May–September: Access on the main course on weekend need to be booked and signed in on the BRS system
Membership Conditions
Parent/Guardian WhatsApp group. It is a condition of junior membership that a parent’s / guardian’s phone number and an email address is given. This is required as it is important that the club be able to get messages out to the Junior Membership throughout the year.
Both the Junior member and Parents/Guardians must sign Code of Conduct documents.
Swinford Golf Club Essential Information for Junior Golfers
1. Before You Play
• Always book a tee time before arriving at the course.
• Arrive 10–15 minutes early so you are ready to start on time.
• Every golfer must have their own golf bag and clubs — no sharing allowed.
2. On the Tee Box
• Only four players are allowed in a group.
• Read the Rules of the Day.
• Stand safely to the side when others are hitting.
3. Safety First
• If you hear someone shout “FORE!”, take cover behind your bag, cover your head with your hands and turn away immediately.
• If you hit a ball toward another group or person, shout “FORE!” loudly to warn them.
• Never swing your club when someone is standing close to you.
• Wait until the group ahead is out of range before hitting your shot.
4. Taking Care of the Course
• Replace your divots by putting the grass back and pressing it down.
• Repair pitchmarks on the greens.
• After playing from a bunker, rake your footprints and the area where you hit.
5. Keep Pace of Play
• Walk quickly between shots.
• Be ready to play when it’s your turn.
• Let faster groups behind you play through if needed.
• You have 3 minutes to look for a lost ball.
6. Behaviour and Respect
• Be polite to other golfers and respect the course.
• Avoid shouting or running on the course.
• Take care of your clubs and never throw or slam them.
7. On the Greens
• Do not walk on another player’s putting line.
• Mark your ball with a coin or marker when needed.
• Handle the flagstick carefully and lay it down gently.
8. After the Round
• Shake hands or fist bump your playing partners.
• Make sure you have all your clubs and belongings before leaving.
