Competition Secretary

The competition secretary is responsible setting the calendar of club competitions, the operation of all club competitions and the organisation of prize giving’s. They work closely with the club captain, course convenor and other officers of the club in ensuring competitions are held in a safe and fair manner. The secretary is a member of the golf committee and can establish a committee to help in their work.

Role Responsibilities:
- Sets and maintains the annual calendar for all club competitions, ensuring a well-organized schedule throughout the year.
- Oversees the operation of all club competitions, from setup to completion, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
- Organizes prize-giving ceremonies for competitions, coordinating with sponsors and managing logistics to celebrate winners and participants.
- Collaborates with the Club Captain, Course Convenor, and other club officers to ensure that competitions are conducted in a safe and fair manner.
- Works as an active member of the golf committee, contributing to broader club initiatives and decisions affecting golf operations.
- May establish and lead a committee to assist in the planning and execution of competitions, enhancing team effectiveness and member involvement.
